At about 22:03:30 you can see a spike in both IP traffic pollution and unfiltered IP traffic beginning to climb, these are the first crucial moments of a DDoS attack making it's way into the network. In a period of about one minute the "After Filtering" traffic drops, a sign that the edge systems have detected and successfully mitigated the attack. A little over two minutes later the attack climbs sharply and attempts to flood the network all while the traffic remains filtered and legitimate traffic continues to flow. |
